What Activated Carbon Solution Does TONGKE Provide?

Granular Activated Carbon for Potable Water treatment
Granular activated carbon (GAC) is applied in gravity-flow filtration systems. Regular backwashing is performed to mitigate pressure loss and maintain biological stability. GAC only requires replacement once fully depleted. Its service life generally lasts several years for adsorption applications, while Biological Activated Carbon (BAC) can remain in service for 10 to 15 years.

Powdered activated carbon (PAC) is dosed into water at a concentration of 3–50 mg/L based on actual operating conditions, and is later separated along with sludge in subsequent treatment processes.

Anthracite for Potable Water
Anthracite serves in gravity-flow filters to remove suspended solids and reduce water turbidity. Backwashing is conducted routinely when pressure loss rises. Replacement is only needed after long-term abrasion from backwashing wears down particle size. High-grade ultra-hard anthracite typically has a service life of 15 to 20 years.
